Campaign of the Month: January 2015
Skies of Glass
An exceedingly valuable variation of the sapphire, this jewel is less translucent than a normal sapphire and has a white star of four or more points highlighted at its center. Such stars, caused by the optical properties of the mineral, always have an even number of points; most commonly six, but a rarer twelve-arm variety does exist. For about every thousand sapphires found, one is a star. Used as a augmenting spell component, star sapphires have incredibly varied and often unpredictable results. The one consistent use found for it has made it highly sought after by conjurers. Conjuration spells that summon creatures of create materials cast with these stones under the night sky are enhanced, though the effects vary between the many effects of conjuration spells.
