A creature protected by endure cold suffers no harm from being in a cold environment. The target is treated as if it had Cold Resistance 10 for the purposes of determining its level of protection against cold environments. This means that the creature can typically exist comfortably in conditions as cold as 11 degrees Fahrenheit without having to make Fortitude saves.
Starting at 7th level, the target is treated as if it had Cold Resistance 20 (protecting it down to -14 degrees Fahrenheit). Starting at 11th level, the target is treated as if it had Cold Resistance 30 (down to -39 degrees Fahrenheit).
Endure cold doesn’t provide any protection from cold damage, nor does it protect against other environmental hazards such as smoke, lack of air, and so forth. The benefits of this spell do not stack with the benefits of actually possessing Cold resistance for determining a creatures level of protection against cold environments.
