Skies of Glass
Decanter of Endless Kittens
A black glass decanter shaped like a cat. A faint purring sound occasionally emanates from the bottle when held.Decanter of Endless Kittens
- Type: Wild-Warped Decanter
- Material: Glass (Average quality material)
- Craft Check: 17
- Caster Level: 11
If the stopper is removed from this decanter and a command word spoken, a number of kittens pour out. Separate command words determine the “volume” of kittens, as well as their velocity.
- “Stream” pours out 1 kitten per round.
- “Fountain” pours out 5 kittens per round.
- “Geyser” pours out 30 kittens per round.
The geyser effect exerts considerable pressure, requiring the holder to make a DC 12 Strength check to avoid being knocked down each round the effect is maintained. In addition, the powerful force of the geyser deals 1d4 points of slashing damage per round to a creature that is subjected to the onslaught of kittens. The geyser can only affect one target per round, but the user can direct the beam of kittens without needing to make an attack role to strike the target since the geyser’s constant flow allows for ample opportunity to aim. Creatures allergic to cats are sickened for one minute after being damaged by the geyser. The command word must be spoken to stop it. All kittens summoned by the decanter are unharmed regardless of the velocity they’re summoned at and seem to disappear whenever you aren’t paying total attention to them.
The decanter is wild-warped, and emits a clearly fae chaotic aura. The decanter was successfully challenged, launching Cayden (and Ned’s feathered face) into a spiritual challenge in a wild-warped cavern, attuning the decanter to Cayden. As a standard action, Cayden may unstopper the decanter and speak a specific command word to conjure Andelu Deathhunter (Summoning effect, CL 11). Andelu may be summoned for up to 11 rounds per day, though the rounds need not be continuous. So long as Andelu is active, Cayden’s eyes become feline and swim in a miasma of pale colors and fractal patterns, granting him the benefits of a See Invisibility spell that functions instead as-per True Seeing against undead and effects created by the undead. Further, his warped eyes allow him to make a Befrumiating Gaze.
Befrumiating Gaze (Su): Cayden may direct his bewildering gaze against a single foe within 30 feet as a swift action. An opponent that fails a Will saving throw is Confused for 1d4 rounds. An undead subjected to this gaze suffers from shooting pains, sickening them for the duration of the Confusion plus 1 round (or just 1 round if the save was successful). This is a mind-affecting effect that ignores an undead’s natural immunity to such effects. The save DC for this gaze is equal to 14+Intelligence modifier or Charisma modifier.
